Hard picks are also a must if you want screaming harmonics. I'd pick a bass pick over one of those nightmarish dunlop extra lights any day.

Any shape, hard style. It used to be the cheapest one, but after getting one of those pick holders that you glue to the back of the guitar I'm wearing down my picks instead of losing them. Who would believe such a thing?!

I know what you mean, once you find the perfect setup for you, such as the pick, then things just start to make sense.

I play bass just like how I play guitar, playing chords lol which is wrong, but I use the same pick too.

they're medium, I went thru all sorts and also just used my thumb for a while but decided this is right for me, I think every guitarist should try out ones to see what they like

Yup, gear can get pretty expensive. I'm just amazed at how far technology has gone where you can get cheap equipment that sounds good.

I have a cheap MXR Fullbore Metal. I like my guitars crunchy.

Yeah I have a crybaby wah-wah pedal, it's pretty sweet. I should use it more. It's in so many popular songs of the last 40 years, now that I have one I hear it everywhere

Blues Am C G by TheWebOfSlime in guitar

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's a nice chord progression, I played around with it on piano. I like dropping the G lower than the Am, sounds nice.

And you can see the chord progression pattern (if you trace it out) makes a nice L tight shape on the circle of fifths. https://www.zombieguitar.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/circle-of-fifths.jpg
