Do you think the heat Texas has been getting is slowing down the growth?

Yeah, it's been rough. My basil especially kept dying, although I finally have some small plants, I usually grow them in the beginning of the year and they'd start flowering soon. Although with these cantaloupes, I just planted the seeds from one I bought in the store recently, on paper they might have enough time before the temps get too cold.

The melon I picked is also grown from seed, which cost no money. The seed came from a melon that grew in my garden three years ago. Well, I hope you get some good fruit of your own, even though it's a tough year for gardening.
