What kind? Apache F1?

That's a serrano plant, 10-23,000 SHU. Lot less hot than the F1s.

Nice plant. Mine are suffering a bit from temps that dipped into the 40s, but I picked a few Goats Weed peppers today for my bacon/rice/veggie stir fry. Plucked a few Pequins from unhappy branches too. (the half inch variety, not the tic tac sized version.)

IMO, you have room for at least another 30 plants. Put up a shelf on or near the fence so it won't block the sun. Get yourself a yard or two of a sandy potting soil and get your orders in to the hot pepper seed companies. Albanian Red Hot is not that hot, but it's a visually interesting pepper because of the size and 'corking'. (random seed site for the pic, not an endorsement)

Thanks, that is my parent's one pepper plant, serrano. It produces more peppers than we can use. Then I have a few plants, but I don't have good light so they don't grow nearly as well.

I'd like to see them try some other fruiting edible plants, they garden but mostly ornamental plants. Seems like such a waste to me.

I was sent a bunch of pepper seeds, mostly super hots, from this cool guy on Reddit. I've not had any of them sprout. I've never had to do it with pepper seeds before but I think these I'll have to paper towel germinate if they're viable at all.

I think pepper seeds can age out after just a few years. Went through my collection this year and tried to germinate all the varieties I want to keep. No luck with 2018 seeds. If they might be on the older side, do bottom heat to keep them warm, and under a dome to keep them moist.

The two super hots I've had both took at least a couple weeks to germinate, while others popped in just a few days. Superhots have been more finicky for me.

What types did you get?

That's unfortunate. I'll have to look through my seed bag for the specific varieties, a number were Aji peppers, so Peruvian.
