Well I just read a tweet (though I'm not sure if official) that they were going to remake sonic more as sonic before release...

Also the Gangsters paradise song and the actors are a good cast. They should have gone with a Jim Carey as eggman standalone movie, no sonic in it.

Yeah Jim Carey as eggman seems like a very good fit, I almost want to see it just for that
