"... and don't call me Shirley" Even after all these years that line kills every time. And that's in a movie full of lines that are comedic gold.

Me too. The word play was amazing."A hospital? What is it" "A large building full of sick people but that's not important." And Leslie Neilsen was the king of deadpan. You know for most of his career he was a straight actor. Did you know he carried around a fart device in his pocket and would squeeze it in places like an elevator? Glad you liked it.

My dad actually went to school with Leslie. They weren't friends but he told the story of how they were both competing for the attention of the same girl. Leslie won. My dad was no slouch in the looks dept. but he wasn't movie star handsome.

So your dad is from up near Regina? Cold. Or maybe he knew Leslie after his family moved to a warmer clime. He was master of the deadpan and that little fart machine he carried with him was a hoot. I've been only to BC and saw a moose and her foal up close in Saskatchewan. I liked it up there and the people were a treat.
