Superhuman absolutely does not specifically mean god(s). It means high/great/above/exceptional/powerful (super) as pertaining to humans. This can also enter the territory of superhuman controlling concepts and conglomerations, i.e. powers, which simply amount to the ideas and organizations propagated by one or more humans.
