I question his use of the word "deserve". If he had used "need", one could point to the evidence-- assuming he's whining about Kyle Rittenhouse. One could also point to the simple fact that civil authorities were protecting nothing and there was a real need to protect people and property against "mostly peaceful protestors". One could also point out that these "protests" were not protesting against any actual cause of what they were supposedly angry about, but instead making a city very uncivil and unlivable-- thus creating the need.

The only use for "deserve" I can see is if we ask one's right to self defense deserves to be respected. There is no logic in these stupid woke hot-takes on Rittenhouse's circumstance. Do they believe the "only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"? Do they think the people attacking him were right? Do they think calling something a protest justifies the attacks on people and property? Do they want those who attacked Rittenhouse to face the same charges they wished on him? Do they really give a damn about state lines that much, as if how you got to where you are has any bearing on what happens once you are there?

Those who have worked so hard to divide society are loving every minute of this.
