Cats are lazy bastards and spread parasites. Throw your cat outside today.

Are you being facetious? It might be the toxoplasmosis talking but I'm not comfortable with what you're saying. Hisses and scratches to you.

You can eat me 4 hours after I pass, but not a single second sooner.

Even humans had to resort to cannibalism at some unfortunate point in time. Cats do what they need to survive too. From my experience with cats, they're great "low-maintenance pets". As in, you don't have to walk them everyday or take them out when nature calls and they're not as needy as dogs. But they're not really that independent or aloof either. The cats I've had would greet me when I'd get back from work and meow insistently for cuddles and food. There's something relaxing about a cat purring contently.

Your comment reeks of pure Stockholm syndrome. I recommend an immediate ivermectin dose to assist with your readily apparent toxoplasmosis issues.
Cats do what they need to survive too
"hey, at least it's not mean murder"
you don't have to walk them everyday or take them out when nature calls
at the cost of accepting dangerous chemicals, viruses, and parasites into your residence, not sure how that weighs out on the old pro/con list
they're not as needy as dogs
exactly, real emotional connections and relationships require maintenance
The cats I've had would greet me when I'd get back from work and meow insistently for cuddles and food
If you had to look back objectively, wouldn't you say it was 80% food and 20% cuddles?
There's something relaxing about a cat purring contently.
Co-dependence much? Not sure if this is healthy

Why four hours? I'm a picky eater.

A dog, an actual friend, would wait 4 days before eating my corpse. Cats are clearly incapable of empathy, but waiting just a bit before eating shows respect.

They're little psychopaths but I still love them.

I used to love them myself, I'm just bitter because I became allergic to them :D

Oh, that's too bad. Dogs are great as well. I especially like big dogs like huskies and golden retrievers. Little dogs, not so much.

Helps build natural immunity and they can be the canary in the coalmine for our toxic communities.

A tarantula is a great "low-maintenance pet". With a cat, you probably have to feed and otherwise interact with it on a weekly basis. That's not low-maintenance at all!

They're kind of furry I guess but they don't purr if you pet them. Nothing like stroking one of their eight legs and have its eight eyes looking back at you.
