That’s why it’s called political theatre. You’d have to be crazy to think your run of the mill person could become president - even if they gathered the money of their state and had their entire states support, it wouldn’t be enough to buy national air time. And that doesn’t even matter anyway.

As every president is just a puppet that’s chosen - there’s maybe 10-20 candidates(?) pre-selected and vetted by the powers that be that they know will play ball (so how is voting free, and how do you actually have a choice, when they give you a select few to vote for?), I mean think about it - we do this for basic websites to keep bots, trolls and spam out with captchas for example. You don’t think they’d make sure to keep out the riff-raff?

Their most powerful weapon is the television - if a man (or woman) of genuine intent was elected and said one sentence, just one sentence (like 9/11 was an inside job, or Covid-19 was man made and an inside job as well), revealing some truths to Americans/the world on live TV, coming from a respected figure and the leader of the free world, that would be reality altering and breaking.

Voting is just an illusion to give us the notion we have free-will and participation in our countries politics. Our tax money will be spent by congress and the president however they want, regardless of what we want or say. Presidents always say one thing on the campaign trail and do another. They have no power - they’re just mouth pieces and puppets for those who do.
