We live in a society, where you will ask the cashier at the grocery store, their feelings about their day.

"How is your day?"

And they are expected to lie to you, yet this same Question asked of a loved one is met with contempt. The peer pressure that exists in a simple exchange of greetings is so embedded in our society, that it causes us to treat strangers as lovers, and lovers as enemies.
