If you could leave at any time, that sounds great. However, with the current infrastructure in the US, it would be an enormous amount of money.

They've been printing money faster than ever.

If you compare US inflation with other countries, it hasn't really changed much, although these last three months have made quite a big jump.

A rough estimate for a 10x10 room and three meals a day for population of 330 million (assuming you could relocate everyone):

  • Initial cost: 300,000,000*$100,000 = 30 trillion dollars.
  • Yearly cost after that: Maybe 3 trillion dollars if you're efficient.

But then no one has jobs is a county that dense. Maybe it could be something you could opt in to. I'd love to live in this future city, but it seems the US government couldn't afford it.
