You may be able to put a copper jacket around it,
or freeze it. Then shoot it from an air gun.

I wonder how much material is needed. You could probably use a fairly thin copper jacket.

Does gallium affect brass?

Not much, but you can also coat it to be sure for long term usage.
Fledermaus probably has some videos with plastic containers that can be filled with stuff.
But for an airgun a led or brass shell might be better.
To affect aluminium you need to scratch it as well. It is covered with an oxide layer that protects it. It makes it look whitish.
