Imagine being so manipulated by the military industrial complex that you're rooting for the crooked cops, that's embarrassing

Imagine being so manipulated by antifa terrorists that you think rioting and destroying cities is good and people who want peace and are statistically proven not to be bigoted are crooked. That's embarrassing.

Imagine thinking everyone that has ever protested police brutality is in favor of looting

Never thought so. It's a choice between criminals and ignorant people, because the latter protest a brutality that is not the norm and not a trend.

I agree that it's not the norm, but when it does happen I think it's atrocious enough to be worthy of protest (stuff like Breonna Taylor and Daniel Shaver, Duncan Lemp too). I wish it wasn't presented as a racial issue though, just an accountability issue.

Absolutely. Nobody innocent should ever have to die. And just to extend another olive branch, one of the studies people like to mention that points out that there is no widespread bias also points out that there undoubtedly are a small number of racist, biased police officers. And I 100% agree that those people should lose their jobs ASAP and nobody like them ever be hired.

That's an interesting idea. There are a lot of stories about U.S. police officers not being trained enough how to de-escalate situations and to use de-escalation as the first step. There are also a lot of stories about police departments basically turning into profit-driven institutions more interested in ticketing people for the most minor of things (or even making up reasons to ticket them), in which case it's no surprise if one such situation turns violent and ends in harm toward an innocent person. There is a great interview Malcolm Gladwell did on the Joe Rogan podcast where he talks about this topic and uses one particularly shocking example to illustrate it. There are actual problems with the U.S. police. Fixing them means highlighting the problems and calling for them to be fixed, not for police to be abolished wholesale. I don't know why far-leftists keep insisting on throwing away everything as soon at the sight of the first problem, rather than working on it. They do it with the police, they do it with capitalism, they do it with their relationships.

I'm gonna check out that interview when I get some time. Sounds like something I should hear. Also good point on far-leftists tearing things down instead of building them up, that's actually something I've been thinking about lately. Sorry I wish I had a longer reply for you, but I've read everything and agree, I just don't have a ton to add.
