Um. This counter argument is just as harmful. Both of them are designed to shut down critical thinking. Why not suggest clicking the link and assessing the information on your own? This literally sounds like controlled opposition.

I think it was just kind of a benign inside joke. I don't see how it shuts down critical thinking, I've seen many call Corbett controlled opposition but you're going to have to explain because it doesn't make sense to me like the way the accusation makes sense with someone like Alex Jones.

He's instructing people to be just as dismissive, to not click the link provided, and to ensure that they change the mind of the person who provided the link none the less. You see any critical thinking in that?

I get your point about why it is problematic but I love his work too much to hold it against him in any way. In the context of the documentary where he shows how PR companies fund shill organizations to push a message through the media, it came across as funny to me. You are right though, it isn't healthy behavior to encourage. We should always be open minded enough to hear people out, particularly when its difficult, instead of dismissing them without consideration.

This isn't his actual counter argument though, it is a tiny segment from the end of his Gates series which was pretty good. I think that it encouraged critical and skeptical thinking on the topic while providing great commentary and without throwing in anything unfounded.

I am with you here, you should look at any information thrown your way and decide for yourself. However, I think Corbett typically encourages his viewers to do that, he is just lampooning people who say otherwise here

I don't know what he's doing. I don't know why you posted this link. I can only take his statements at face value, because no rational human being injects parody into a topic of this nature. Sorry, didn't realize I was viewing a s/funny post. But I do now see Corbett as a joke, and a man who values money above all else, just like Alex Jones does.

It's called context. Here we have a clip, out of context, that is put into forum, where my only hint at it's context is a single word s/funny that can be measured in millimeters. Oh and it's title. Where as the video instructs people on how to dismiss their friends and relatives for subversive thinking. Do you actually think this has something to do with my 'thin skin' and not say, my opposition to large tech companies controlling peoples world view, and censoring dialog?

Yes, Corbett is great but why hasn't he been banned from YouTube. I'm banned? Others with little subs are banned in the upload process of one of their videos exposing say neocons.

I think he stays well away from Zionism and Israel. And espeically, he will NOT TOUCH PsyOps.

Corbett also stated that 9/11 truth does not matter anymore. I found that quite interesting.

This totally does rub me the wrong way. I make an innocuous comment about Israel and Facebook raises the flag for "unacceptable" behavior but he sure is allowed to publish very controversial material with no push back. I am quite aware of why people are skeptical, as they all should be.

Well, he does talk about the relationship between 9/11 and Israel. In fact, he was the first person to explain it with straight facts in a way that changed my perspective. However, this criticism is not lost on me, outside of 9/11, he straight refuses to mention Israel. As much as I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, it is quite possible his intent may be nefarious. The only solution for us as individuals is to be incredibly critical of all information we receive.

Well, Corbett does some good work but two years ago on 9/11 he literally said in an interview that "9/11 truth doesn't matter anymore" that "the time of 9/11 truth has passed." Right there and then I knew he was a shill or in it for the money.
