That’s kind of what happens when you follow a pre-set formula you’re required to follow but there isn’t enough actual info to fill it.

Anyone else get the distinct feeling that article was written by a bot? Denver is referred to as “that town” twice.

That site’s terms reference a “Netherlands County” California and say the site’s address is New York, NY. There’s almost no one almost anything on that site was written by a native English speaker. Snow is this you getting back at us?

      Makes sense. Probably northeastern.

Totally. Someone should make a bot that condenses articles into some preset, like 240 char.

You could get the jist of anything in like, 7 sentences? That would be great for my rss reader.

This is awesome. You should totally be able to downvote the article into the comments lol. Or at least vote the best comments up above it, like we do on this site.

Hey, we’ve already got /u/JasonCarswell for that!

        For what in particular?
        If it's a joke I don't get it.
        If it's not a joke I still don't understand.

You often actually RTFL and then copy and paste it into a comment, no?

        Not a joke. Much respec.

Only for blurb, feel-goodiery articles such as this. Actual news, of course I want to read.

A dream RSS feed would give a brief synopsis, then link to full article if I chose to read it.

Ironically a lot of news articles are written by a bot now.

The padding you see is just an attempt to keep eyeballs on the page longer, so that you are more likely to click on other articles (more pageviews) or click on ads.
