I mean. Funny, but childhood poverty is real in the sense that they have no home support and are thus homeless and lack any support or medical care. And Norm, although funny supported Bush and the GOP neocons, which is odd.

I don't think it's funny, as I guess it's over my head, but regarding children here are my thoughts. From what I've read, children were paid to go to school at first, they wouldn't go, and would rather be working. I actually think children shouldn't be nanny'd until adulthood, it's good for their character, and development to have responsibility earlier; so I'm totally for ending child labor laws.

Children should be children though. But parenting and obedience to parents is much more important than ending labor laws. If anything, they should work and obey their parents and have fun as well.

As for nanny'd until adulthood??? What does that mean?

As far as children being children, our viewpoint of what it is to be a child in our modern age, well look at it! lol, it's falling to shit, by shitty people, it starts with childhood. My viewpoint on children? Our life starts at birth, and it's a long road with trials, and tribulations.

Children have always been exposed to the realities of civilization; whether they really learn to navigate the world quickly(my opinion of the correct way to raise a child), or their parents read some new age parenting books, and have their kids grow up on Disney.

On one side, someone who learns life is a fight early on, and learns how the world naturally functions, will be able to handle themselves in all that life throws at them. Juxtaposed, the authoritarian state wants 'disney kids', vulnerable, ignorant, and their head's pie in the sky, so to speak; they feed right into the security state, as they've got no clue what freedom is. To continue, these same folks grow up to pander for ever increasing laws to protect them due to the ignorance of their upbringing...... Hence a willing, and gleeful participant in ever increasing measures of 'security over freedom'.

On that note, we're living in a nanny state as adults now; there's a secret witness hotline available for most anything you could imagine. There are even tattle tale hotlines available almost exclusively to certain arenas; for example, I've got some insurance licensing, and recently did my continuing ed. As part of the 'know your client' CE's, I learned of so many more hotlines I never even imagined would be...... "Yeah, I can forever be a brat, and tattle!!!"

Last thought on parents disciplining their children. Today that's child abuse, even yelling is considered such under varying media promoted narratives. If a parent demands respect from the life they brought into this world, are caring for, and wanting to see grow through proper develop, void of all the insanities offered today, they can lose custody faster than blinking.

My thoughts on children: You're never too old to be aborted, especially if you work in government or big corporations.
