Probably one of the best movies out there when it comes to satire.

It really is.

I recently learned from an interview with Mike Meyers that the Dr. Evil voice is modeled after Lorne Michaels' voice. You can hear the similarity if you listen to him speak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bem9_FVJY1o&t=1m15s

Making his voice in to Dr. Evil is an interesting bit of subtext to that movie, speaking of satire.
