rep'n theme brkwy
prequel, social construct theory, Investigation of (Dis-)Favor hint: a language alignment
prequel at my reddit account Breakaway Civilization (an Occult Alternative) (part 1 of 2)
First, was the gene, a word for a biological construct composed of DNA, one of a collective "genome" that provides information and methodology for a lifeform to construct itself, develop its potential encoded in base pair sequences.
Second, was the meme, a word invented by biologist Richard Dawkins for a social construct composed of ideas which took a reproducible form (software) so that the ideas could be transfered, or taught to (reproduced in) other persons of a society, ie. kinship group, institution, city-state, or nation. Technology has altered the means of transfer of memes: language, spoken, written, symbolized, abstracted (eg. math), imaged, digitized, etc.
Third, is the theme, or more exactly, a word we'll be exploring (and reprehensing (ie. deriding)) here.
Before we get onto themes, let's glance at 'breakaway (2)', another theme, but interesting because it's also a theme-violator. Later we'll come back for another look after we see why Breakaways are mostly "good", but not without falws (LoL, yeah, that's what I mean (eg. spelling); themes can be good too, as long as they are openly revealed (eg. dictionary), and breaking away is harmless and optional (if I was to misspell most of the words in this post, it might be incomprehensible, thus reprehensible, ergo "bad")). Marginotions is in the idea-breakaway business, (stuff one may find jotted onto margins: extras and diversions) my overriding paradigm is to be weird, but not insane. That's right, high-tension but well grounded.

Marginotion of theme (briefly): a social construct or paradigm set up by "thought-leaders" (mind-controllers, let's call them [MCs](master of ceremonies)) who promote their agenda upon unsuspecting victims to dupe them into serving the MCs' desires and preferences. In more bland terms, it's a pre-determined setup that some social constructor (programmer) has selected, assuming most persons will accept their selections and 'go' with them. ("Never mind, sit down, shut up, and let US (MCs) do all the thinking around here.")

Constructing Agriculture and the City-State
Wheat has a plus side, it contains opiates, and a downside, it contains gluten.
It may be due to the opiates that agriculture emerged as a breakaway economy from hunter-gatherer, which has plenty of favorable features. Being addictive, a grain crop would tend to reward its cultivation in spite of being more labor intensive.
History indicates agriculture took-off (gained market-share) in flood plain regions of Mesopotamia, Egypt's Nile valley, and Pakistan's Indus valley. These flat fertile plains, combined with geomorphic irrigation projects allowed huge harvests of grain, a storable commodity (unlike meat and fresh vegetables, the products of hunter-gatherer society).
The argument here is that grain agriculture stimulated authoritarian, top-down social constructs including slave labor. By comparison, foraging, bottom-up social constructs stimulated raiding and warrior-labor. History shows the latter types liked to attack-defeat the former types, assimilated to them and became weaker, opening the same opportunity to occur again with a new raid-conquer-assimilate-be-defeated cycle.
