Is the barrel too short to be highly accurate?

I don't have enough experience with handguns to say for sure. The magazine holds 17 bullets. Ideally that would be enough to eliminate at least 5 targets. With my current accuracy I could eliminate 2 targets.

That seems very unlikely.

If that happened it wouldn't be caused by alcohol.

I bought my significant other a S&W M&P 9mm bodyguard. I think the barrel is just over 3 inches; it's fairly accurate. I'm curious to see how the Ruger does.

Right now, I carry either a 1911, or G30 depending on what I'm doing, I really consider going with S&W M&P 9mm performance center; as the 9mm holopoint ammo is fairly good anymore. It seems like a win between good performing hollow points, and number of rounds.
