    The worst part are the "incentives" for states to implement red flag laws. Incentives in this context are withholding federal funds if the state doesn't do what they want, basically extortion.

    Red flag laws are bad because they are a way to deprive you of your right to self defense without due process. Basically anyone (a rival, a disgruntled ex, even the police) can claim you are a threat and they take your guns away with no recourse, and a long and complicated process to get them back leaving you defenseless.
