I'm an average consumer. I pay for shit with a cash back rewards card and pay that off every month to avoid interest with my checking account. The media is bandying about these stark images of people making a run on banks and hoarding money while I haven't touched actual physical green money in three to 6 months! I think the last coin I fondled was my Aldi quarter....Barring a collapse of the electronic transaction infrastructure, how on earth would we even have bank runs in this day and age?
