This is a big deal.
I can see why they're doing it but now this means Bayer is going to become the target of all of monsanto's baggage. Good luck with that.

When they relabel and repackage it, many won't associate this megacorp with big, bad monsanto. Our memories are short, as are our attention span. Monsanto will go away like a failed plotline in a tv drama series.
Sorry for the pessimism, I think I need to go for a long walk.

Nope, I think you're right. Those decades of crimes against humanity will just get swept under the rug and the timer gets reset, all from a simple name change. They know it too.
