Though they do not have definitive answers, they note that processing time involves working memory and executive functioning, all of which have deficit correlations in autism. However, from personal experience, I know some of the kids I work with have exceptional working memory, so I would be interested to know if the majority of people experience difficulties with processing time or just certain people?
