Is it ethical to publish the IPs of a DDoS attack?

This attack was only a few hundred IPs, but it can sometimes be thousands of IPs.
The IPs don't tell us much because they're behind VPNs. So all it tells us, at best, is what VPN services they are using. There's no way to trace it beyond this, as far as I know.
