Some people may not know that soon after the Fukushima incident, PM Abe slapped a gag order on all Japanese media. That is, any report about Fukushima must be cleared with the Japanese Government and as a result, Jpn TV and newspapers do not even cover the story anymore. It is only covered by foreign media.

I didn't know that was still in effect!

I haven't heard of it being lifted but I could be wrong.

I knew it happened early on. And then never thought or heard about it since. I'm guessing it's prolly still in effect.

James Corbett used to do stuff on it, though living in Japan, maybe he doesn't now because of this.

No, he still lives in Japan. Me too but don't spread it around. :) Oh, yeah, really I think it's still in effect. Nobody here even talks about it. I remember that day clearly since I had to walk about twenty miles to get home.

Yeah, some do. I have always remained firmly in the J. Women camp and it has been lots of fun. :)

I bet! I lived in Okinawa as a kid. I always wanted to go back.

It's not looked mainland J, but it was interesting.
