Acts 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Yeah. But Luke and Acts were written late, towards the end of the first century, and some scholars date it as late as 110-120 CE (although the author of Luke-Acts does not show any awareness of the letters of Paul, most people do place them before the letters of Paul were widely circulated, hence 80-90 CE)

As a later biblical addition, these prophetical stories are later embellishments, that don't have their origin in the words of Christ.

Revelation is misinterpreted as prophesy. It described events in that had occurred by the time is was written in the very late first century. The beast that rose out of the sea is Rome. The second beast is Nero Caesar. The mark of the beast is money, since it has Nero's image and name written on it (for those coins minted during his reign). That it is marked on the back of the hand or the forehead is a metaphor for it being held in holy regard (falsely, in the case of the mark of the beast). The third beast is Satan.

It could be like that.... and it could happen more than once, which would cause men to fear. After they see different parts of the earth burned with no ability to control it, they will wonder: Who is going to get burned up next? People should realize that CO2 is not the greatest threat to mankind. The sun is where the heat comes from.
