Not sure what his point is though.

I'd have thought it were obvious. If the people passing legislation based on an underlying statistic such as co2 increase in the atmosphere have no idea of the very basic facts it's based on such as the actual content of co2 in the atmosphere, how can they understand the impact their changes will make? These people all guess at a figure significantly greater than the actual figure which tells you it's more likely bullshit. If I were to guess, someone gets paid more if they all vote to ignore the facts and pass the bill?

As a politician you dont have to fully understand the science behind your decisions. You just trust the science as long as it is beneficial for you and your party. Thats true in bad and good decisions.

As long as you're lobbyists pay you, you don't have to read what they pay you to say, correct.

This isnt just about lobbying. It's about more power for politicians and less power for the people. Like two weeks to flatten the curve extended to centuries.

It's everything about money. Carbon taxes equate to an unlimited stream of money for the government from business and citizens for what is essentially pseudoscience. Educational institutions get government funding, tenures and subsidies to push this pseudoscience. Some business profits from the green initiatives by lobbying dipshit politicians who are willing to make an extra buck to read from the narrative and give contracts their way. It's nearly always about money over power. Lockdowns and COVID were everything about selling ppe contra ts, vaccines and increasing profits on monopoly business over small business, pushing interest rates and raising debt. Money.
