Religion and science do not mix well. The "Climate-Change" religion has taken a basic scientific observation (the planet is warming) and created an entire moral-functional paradigm surrounding it, believing the basic observation justifies every leap of logic they have made since. Other than that original observation (with which I agree), however, all the rest is human irrationality running rampant. That rest being: 1) Human activity is the definitive and sole cause of the warming; 2) The warming is catastrophic; 3) The strategies they propose will "solve" the warming. None of those continuations layered upon the original observation yet comes with even remotely enough evidence to confirm it, but now that they have become religious tenets, evidence is no longer necessary. The corporate powers and their servants in government and academia will enforce belief in them.

That said, this particular flavor of authoritarianism is a secondary problem to the two current dominant strains: medical tyranny and warfare. Currently those two forms of tyranny (quite explicit now) form the clear and present dangers.

The church of scientism has been with us since the Age of Reason. They dogmatically tell us what to believe without sharing the analysis of the data and if we critique their claims, even using their own data, they call us peasants too stupid and ask us to trust their experts. In geology they say that uniformatarianism is what we should believe because most of their experts do, in spite of underwater cities all over the world. In biology they tell us that because finches can adapt to environments with beak shape we must now believe that fishes can become mammals or lizards can become birds. With Covid they tell us that the data showed lockdowns were a good idea, but then when we examine it and say that is shows no such thing they call us misinformers or conspiracy theorists.
