Feral pigs are a prolific invasive species. If you don't thin them out they'll fuck up everything. Yards, crops, woods, etc. Pig hunters PAY to shot pigs there. It works out all around. The door gunner helicopter ride is just fucking gravy.

not sure why we focus on pig hunting here, he's technically right they're an invasive species in the environment so who cares if a helicopter is used to expedite the process

but he is a known pedo so my question is why are you and me discussing him on this site, why is rogen talking to him, why is he not in jail since the 70s when he committed his known crimes, which he admitted to

Yes indeed. Sorry to have deleted my comment before knowing there had been a response to it. Nothing redeemable about him, for many reasons, and indeed the cowardly act of hunting from helicopter. I think hunting is OK when it's done appropriately. But hunting from a helicopter is a disgrace.

my thoughts on hunting are, what are the limits of what is appropriate or not, a helicopter makes it too easy right? Humans have had an advantage over other animals since they invented the spear which they could throw. Is a gun an advantage, is a knife? Should hunting only be allowed with a bow? See the point in making it artificially harder is when hunting for sport, no sport in shooting from a helicopter of course but that isn't the point, they're just trying to kill pigs for different reasons, not for the fun of it. If you just said you are against all hunting period I'd get it, I'd disagree based on other reasons such as animals will become overpopulated if no hunting is ever allowed.

    How can you?

    It's a wonderful world!

It's possible to be overly sensitive...

There are standards and ethics to hunting. Let's pick one: suppose you're the coward in the helicopter, and you shoot the pig in the leg, but think you killed it. The pig dies three days later, after a long, painful ordeal. (Hunters are expected to make a kill shot.) Many of these clowns in the helicopters are shooting pigs in any part of the body and leaving them to die painfully, in the hundreds. The other ethical issue is that hunting is mainly for the acquisition of food. Hardly any of those helicopter assholes will eat the pigs.

You're sure about that? You didn't even watch the video. The meat is given to worthy causes.

You cannot verify that, Chipit. Does it look like they take their tiny helicopters down to the pigs and pick them up from their remote locations? (No.)

Well good to see someone is opposing the eradication of a destructive invasive species. Now get down to Australia and defend the cane toad.

Come on Chipit - these are really dumb comments...

Have you ever killed a mosquito?

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Not a mosquito the size of a feral pig

    [–]Node 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The size of the lifeform you kill matters?

Anyway, I don't think you know much about the feral pig problem.

I've been thinking about what you said the other day. Particularly earlier when I wasn't quite sure I was going to be alive much longer. I am not trying to kill myself. I can only really drink when the wife is gone. She's coming back soon.

I uh.. tried to find the right comment to reply to but everything is groovy.

Considering that they’re invasive and destructive, hunt them however you want. Those fuckers will fuck you and your dogs up if you’re on the ground, doing it from the air is just smart.

    Is he wrong?

People get really angry about killing feral pigs from helicopters. Even though they don't live in the country and don't have to deal with the devastation. It's all about muh feels.
