i've been wanting to see more championing of the fjg among all the excitement about ubi. i've always thought fjg was a much better idea, though they bring up an interesting point about them being complimentary rather than mutually exclusive. and i totally agree with her about having the right to work.

Well for starters, UBI typically weighs in at around 23% of GDP. (Andrew Yang's proposal is to spend $3 trillion of a $13 trillion GDP.)

Guaranteed Jobs costs about 1% of GDP. The program in Argentina employed 5% of the population/13% of the workforce and cost about 1% of GDP.

That's a huge difference. Our arguments for the benefits of Guaranteed Jobs only have to be 1/23rd as strong as the arguments for UBI.
