Pardon my English. You have raised an important issue: why is it that a large percentage of genius-level people (IQ 140+) have lives that are otherwise very ordinary? I agree that IQ measures only one aspect of intelligence but there is a wide range of other aspects, some we may not even be aware of, that can not be measured with even the best IQ tests.

Because there are very few jobs that can utilize such an high IQ and IQ is only one requirement for sucess. Hard work, risk and networking are equally or even more important.
