There are a lot of new German users today, and I am trying to understand why? Thank you.

They most likely found saidit through our discord, voat and our site. On our site we have flarum but it wasn't as good as reddit because there isn't a mobile app and link sharing is not as easy as in reddit and saidit. Also voat is very unfriendly to new users. These are some of the reasons, why many of us think that saidit is a good alternative.
