Yeah I think studying Amish (and similar communities) technology, techniques etc as well as just stuff people used up to right before the Industrial Revolution is a good idea, along with stuff people are still using today in less developed countries. I just can't seem to find any good resources, I just find a bunch of LARPing about how to build sustainable cities in the desert and shit rather than practical things normal people can either make themselves, or purchase to replace some gadgets they have or whatever.

I wish /u/magnora7 would create a new "sub-filter" between "all" or "none" so that some popular subs (ie. DAR and TumblrInAction) wouldn't dominate /s/All yet also could be present and participate.

Just subscribe and use the subscribed communities tab I guess.
