Why are Russians so violent?

Russians are at least as violent as Blacks, statistically speaking. Just look at the homicide rate in Russia in the 90s and 2000s. It was worse than that of Mexico or Brazil at that time, and 30-50 times that of western Europe. That has only changed since Russia stabilized and moved away from the experiment with western democracy, but the rate is still far higher in Russia than in a normal White country. And you can't say this is because Russians are "mongoloids" mixed with East Asians since East Asians like in China and Japan have an even lower murder rate than Europeans. Also the most violent parts of Russia are in Siberia and other heavily Slavic "white trash" areas. The Muslims in the North Caucasus actually have a much lower rate than ethnic Russians.

Its due to alot of factors. Russia isn't really that nice of a place to live, just in terms of climate and landscape. 70+ years of Communism as the dominant ideology had a soul crushing effect on the people. As did the collapse of the Soviet Union, which turned Russia into a failed state with no social institutions. Then there is the culture of alcoholism which keeps many trapped in poverty.

Slavs are more manly and violent by nature and Russia had a lot of Chechens, Georgians, and Armenians. Caucasoids are extremely tribal and prone to blood feuds and revenge killings.

In any case, Moscow is now a far safer city than London or New york.

Albanian mafia is also very ruthless and specializing in trafficking, drugs and assaults, Georgian mafia became infamous because they routinely break into old people's homes and torture them in order to tell them where they hide something valuable. They have tortured and murdered overage people for 10-20 euros.

Alcoholism is very high in Russia. Alcoholism causes lots of violence.

Post-Soviet collapse and drugs. They seem to be getting a good handle on it though the past years

Historically speaking, they once had a lower homicide rate than the USA. So it can't be genes. It was the post Soviet collapse that drove them mad.

I think this was beginning even by the Soviet era though. The USSR in the 1970s already had a higher murder rate than the US despite having no blacks.

      every russian i've met (im american) has been violent and unstable assholes

      It should be noted that the most crime-ridden parts of Russia are in the east where most ethnic minorities live
