If anything, I'd just say that it's possible to distinguish between the drug addicted far left types etc and the sort of apolitical degeneracy that keeps people down but does not cause them to lash out at anyone. I don't consider the latter to be opposed to anyone or going in any direction, really.

Moreover, rich whites have their own class problems that are discussed fairly frequently - these are conformism, superficiality and philistinism. Discussing the state of the poorer classes too is not at all an example of mean spirited classism, except in the cases of certain libertarian and neoreactionary currents which advertise their disdain for the poor quite openly.
