A "right wing" coalition has dethroned the Social Democrats in the Swedish election

I am surprised that there has been no thread on this already, given how much attention Sweden usually gets. This is a fairly major development. I have not looked into the topic much, but it appears that a number of right wing parties, including the nationalist-leaning Sweden Democrats, have won the majority of the parliamentary seats in a very closely contested election. The Sweden Democrats are themselves the second largest party, with 20% of the votes. They are also the biggest party on the right. I saw claims that some of the other parties have already ruled out inviting the Sweden Democrats into government, so I do not know if there is a formal coalition or not, but it seems likely that the Sweden Democrats will exert considerable influence over both parliament and the government.

The biggest white pill is that SD polled well with young people. Despite being a far more diverse generation than other voters, SD did marginally better with young people. 22% of young people voted for a party that is semi based and described as full on nazis by the msm. The percentage voting SD among young white men must be substantially higher than 22%. Young men have brought about every major political change.

Also, fringe leftist parties have completely collapsed. The biggest party outside the parliament is nyans which is a trad islamist party followed by two nationalist parties. Islamic conservatism doesn't belong in Sweden but at least the muslims are abandoning globo homo.

Yeah, the fact that it is the youth who support the SD also means that other parties like the AfS etc are more likely to pose a credible challenge in the future, since unlike boomers, young people tend to be more politically aware and less likely to vote by inertia.

I am surprised that Nyans is an Islamic traditionalist party. I would have thought that they would be a "secular", left-oriented minority party that nevertheless maintains its autonomy from white leftists. Interesting.

White nationalists and Islamists are pretty much the only ones who are breeding in Sweden. The future is going to be very interesting.

SD is so right-wing that they support gender reassignment surgery, and homosexual marriage and fully stand with Israel.

The party itself is not important, what is important is that the election demonstrates the potential for nativist politics in Sweden. If the SD introduce some policy changes in regard to immigration, that could be very major, too.

Not to my knowledge. I believe the process of forming a government is moderately long in Sweden.
