Unpopular opinion for internet oldheads but I think despite the result it's still fair to warn people if there's porn/gore/violence/rape. Some simply don't want to see those things. In a healthier world where we weren't inclined to view and share grotesque things we wouldn't need them. The warnings can definitely be excessive or unnecessary sometimes but they have their place

There's regular NSFW warnings for that. Those are better, because they come without the unnecessary ideological components.

Those have existed for a number of years on television. Some will say it is a sign that trigger warnings have been normal through the years, but of course, those are about the things IFRS has said and not about more trivial triggers or alt-right politics.
