Some will say that this immigration is a consequence of colonialism (previous ties factoring in, like Indians to UK) or that the migrants simply choose these nations on their own because they are the most developed, on top of everything claiming that migration has existed throughout human history.

immigration is a consequence of colonialism

Many countries, such as mine own, don't have colonial history, yet we are still shoved the diversity propaganda down our throats. The only reason why they bring them in is the money, better to have some third-world slave doing the work for minimum wage (or often times below the minimum wage) than to pay your fellow countryman adequately.

migrants simply choose these nations on their own because they are the most developed

They often do so, but that's a matter of policy. Why should we accommodate them unequivocally?

migration has existed throughout human history

True, but so what? Times change, contexts change. Rape has existed throughout human history and is a natural process and is still normal in some parts of the world, does that mean we should legalize it?
