They want to change the constitution in order to make the presidential election direct, basically like France. The rationale behind is that the left was unable to win the popular vote in the last 30 years and they only get to the government trought last minute coalitions or with unelected technical governments, so they think this is going to beneficial for the right. It's a kinda smart move but nothing particularly revolutionary by itself. The left however is absolutely scared because, well, they were unable to win the popular vote in the last 30 years and it doesn't seem like they will be able to do so in the near future.

Who knows? They are very quiet right now. But honestly I don't think they are going to actually win that hard, so it's just talking.
