When Skorzeny rescued Mussolini and brought him to Hitler's headquarters, Evola was one of the few Italians who were already there, waiting for him.

Yes. If I recall correctly, he also did intelligence work for the SD. His hope was that he could contribute his knowledge about Indo-European spirituality and metaphysics in order to improve upon the more formless paganism in the SS, but the SS were not receptive towards his efforts.
