Russia's empire will never be ethnically pure, but I do seem them as a force against degeneracy by the simple act of providing an alternative geopolitical pole through economic and military cooperation, allowing other nations to reject the imposition of Western values and forms of governance. They aren't quite capable alone, but certainly are with China and India as partners. All three have taken note of the West's extreme hostility, coordinated economic assault, and relative impotence that followed the Ukrainian invasion, as well as the risk of continued dependence on their systems.
