Nah. The Russian rulers are Soviet boomers and tend towards cronyism. They only know how to do things in the old crony way with bribes, state-controlled media, and obsession with international law and ''partners''. It's all they know since they were born and educated in the USSR. That being said, there is a trend towards nationalism from the younger generations.

Young Russians without state support do kickass OSINT, propaganda, and information warfare. Same with several Russian hacking groups that recently declared war on the US and schooled anonymous recently.

There is grassroots nationalism and patriotism in Russia that old Soviet boomers don't know how to handle or interpret. Once they die off, Russia will become much more functional and nationalistic.

The US has this issue today. All its elites post-silent generation have been indoctrinated so thoroughly by liberal propaganda that they can't form realistic views of the world anymore.

They're not realistic, competent or men of the world like Kissinger, David Rockefeller, Jacob Rothschild or Brezinski were.

They legit believe that people in Russia and China are extremely opressed and are crying out for American ''liberation''. NATO in fact held a wargame that modeled an invasion of Russia from Estonia and their model included Russian villagers greeting the Americans as democratic liberators from Putin's autocracy.

They literally thought that removing Starbucks, Mcdonald's, WhatsApp, and other western brands from Russia would cause the people there to revolt and overthrow Putin.

What we see as liberal propaganda and sloganeering is what goes for education for the western elites. Kissinger even warned repeatedly not to antagonize Russia but the boomers and Gen X guys at the state department refused to listen.
