Europe gets 30% of its oil and nearly half of its Uranium from Russia.

I've noticed that the most extreme measures come from the EU and it's the individual nation-states like Hungary, Croatia, Austria, and Germany that undermine these sanctions and continue business with Russia. Same with France to some extent.

Contrary to Spencerfags, it's the EU that is the Atlanticist faction in Europe and it's hellbent on being America's bitch. It's the nation-states that hinder these efforts.

I wonder if the cliche right-wing talking points are true and the elites are genuinely out of touch people living in ivory castles. They seem to have little understanding of how their own economies work.

I don't think that the EU can actually stop any kind of import, those are more like suggestions to the nation states. They also "banned" the gas import a few weeks ago, but everyone - except Poland - still getting russian gas. So it's just a way to appear very hardcore without real consequences.
