Canada's White population has completely stalled since 2001.

Without a doubt, the role of demographics is absolutely crucial to European survival. And while this covers many topics like immigration, I was actually shocked to learn that in Canada, the number of Whites who live there, has been frozen for exactly 20 years.

What does this mean? You can read for yourself, but the White population has barely grown and in fact, has also shrunk during this same period.

The last time there was a serious surge in new White Canadians, was from the 1970s to 1980s, in which case, 2 million new Whites were technically added to the population. And before that, the 1950s and 1960s saw much greater proportional numbers.

So while White people still remain the majority demographic of Canada, the actual number has been static and may even be on a constant decline.

Meanwhile, you can clearly contrast this with other racial groups, like Asians, and they've been adding millions to their own demographic numbers. Even more worrying of course, is that proportionally, they are catching up and starting to represent a larger share of Canada's overall population. In 2001, they were only 10.9% of the population, and in 2016, it nearly doubled to 17.6%. In 2022, it's probably already at 20% or may have even surpassed it.

2036 or so will be the inflection point towards a White minority in Canada. About 1 in 5 Canadians are seniors, so if we assume that this group is predominately white and that most of them will be dead in ~15 years, along with 1 in 5 Canadians being foreign born (from 2011).

In 2011, Canada had a foreign-born population of about 6,775,800 people. They represented 20.6% of the total population, the highest proportion among the G8 countries.

Startling. So it's 10 years later and immigration has really only increased, so this could be extrapolated to a 7% increase in the foreign born population.

Between 2006 and 2011, around 1,162,900 foreign-born people immigrated to Canada. These recent immigrants made up 17.2% of the foreign-born population and 3.5% of the total population in Canada.

I think we're probably ahead of schedule.

The results of the projections show that according to all the projection scenarios selected, the proportion of the Canadian population consisting of foreign-born persons would continue to rise, reaching between 25% and 28% in 2031. In other words, within some twenty years, at least one person in four living in Canada could be foreign-born.

What makes up the largest minority in Canada?

Asians, specifically Indians & Chinese.

But it's hard to tell because they both live in their own enclaves.

You can walk around several Toronto neighborhoods and find yourself surrounded by all Indians, then all Chinese, followed by all Arabs or Blacks.

In other cities like Brampton, Richmond, Mississauga, Markham, it's much more pronounced. Either Indians or Chinese own it all.
