It would only be homoerotic to persons who have homoerotic tendencies. There are no suggestions of kissing or other sexual activity.... I can't say whether it is throwing red mest at the straight women in the audience.

The whole sunning your ball angle was really odd. A scene about masculinity doesn't need nudist surfers and that kind of stuff. Lifting, chopping wood or spending time with kids is enough.

It's not homoerotic per se, but its really weird and this type of masculinity often veers into homosexuality.
