I say it by observing russia's overall quality of life and everage life expectancy. They have a population of 120 million and an immence territory rich with natural resources, they should be one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

The dissolution of a multi-national empire that was struggling for the last two decades of its existence followed by almost a decade of economic plundering and liberalism has taken a toll on Russia, I don't disagree that quality of life and life expectancy leave much to be desired. However, Russians have been slowly rebuilding their country, whereas both standards in America are dropping. I imagine when the American empire collapses, our situation will look a lot worse than 1990s Russia. I agree, they should be one of the wealthiest nations in the world, and I hope in my life we will get to see it.

Good points, but I'm honestly skeptical about Putin's russia and it's obsession with denazification. To conclude, I still don't think that they will touch Finland in any way for the simple fact that the EU has a defence pact, if they attack they will be attackign the entirety of the european union.

There is no shortage of fascists, monarchists, and nationalists fighting for Russia in Ukraine right now. I believe the rhetoric on both sides is smoke and mirrors, how else can you explain western support for Azov after the last few years of American politics? The west is as "fascist" as the Russians are "anti-fascist". It also would not surprise me if it was a ploy to motivate Russians to support the fight against "Nazism" as that is a part of their legacy. Apparently Putin's approval rating is over 80%. I'd be surprised if anything comes from these nuclear threats, but it is honestly getting tiresome seeing insignificant countries whine about their neighbors. You said it yourself, the only reason why these countries have a voice is because the rest of the EU will come to their defense. Like an autistic kid who is immune from consequences because he calls the teacher every time you raise a fist.
