This is so depressing, and yet another examlpe that "public opinion" doesn't matter. There's no way the majority of the Japanese support this. It really seems that China - and to a lesser extent Russia - is the only major country that is resisting this, which further proves that there is no way out through "democracy". We need a dictatorial regime. Let's all hope the US collapses before China does, and let's also hope the Chinese succeed in creating their alternative world. They're already building the foundations for an alternative global financial and trade system, and an alternative internet.

Even a dictatorial regime will inevitably need to liberalize to a certain extent to be able to generate enough revenue to exist and expand. I think Afghanistan is the solution to look towards rather than China.

    I hope you're right.

I'd like some confirmation on that "universally reviled" bit.

Since when is China near collapse?

    It has its own problems.

It does have its problems but none to the scale of nearly splitting apart from niggrolatry and otherdegenerates, I'd imagine?
