It's not surprising that American History X was directed by an Orthodox jew.

Norton worked with Kaye to take it a different direction though. Originally is was supposed to be a shallow drug dealers vs skin heads movie.*

The dinner table scene backfired and made too much sense. I'm sure a good chunk of the audience agreed with Derek over the Jew.

*Kaye famously wanted to take the film a different direction again but Norton and the Studio stopped him. I'm not sure exactly where he wanted to go though. (I'm wondering if Kaye regretted humanizing Derek too much)

I'm pretty sure Kaye also wanted AHX to end with Derek shaving his hair off and grabbing a gun after his younger brother was killed by the black kid, symbolizing Derek's return to his old ways. Kaye may be a Jew, but his vision for the movie was very oddly based.

Kikes have a way of making people seem more based than they are in reality then painting them as the great evil
