It's pure cringe, Trudeau has already locked himself in a basement so any message they want to send is lost.

But even worse, there are more pressing issues going on in Canada. Our wages have stayed flat for more than a decade, while the cost of food and housing has more than doubled. Yet they're protesting over a little mask? Pathetic.

Oh, its cringe alright. Trudeau denounced them as a 'small fringe' that don't represent Canada, and even called them 'terrorists'. And now that they came to Ottawa, he ran away and hid like a coward. There are thousands of truckers at Parliament right now, and everyone is talking about them. This is a political victory for Canadians, and your attempt to downplay it shows that you are a disinfo shill.

Yet they're protesting over a little mask? Pathetic.

The truckers aren't protesting over the masks, stupid: They're in their trucks all day, so it doesn't affect them. They are protesting the vaccine mandates. And all the more power to them for that, they are the only ones who have made real waves over this.

What are you talking about? They raised the minimum wage in Canada a few years back. It still hasn't kept up with the outrageous increases in housing prices, granted. But your claim about flat wages are blatantly untrue.

And anyways, what the hell does this have to do with the protest? Your saying that because there are other problems in society, that the truckers should't be protesting the vaccines? You couldn't be more of a shill if you tried.

Look at GDP per capita. In 2009, it was equal to $40,000 USD. In 2020, it's only worth $43,000. Couple this with inflation, and Canadian wages have been stagnant for all but the hyper rich.

Except the Convoy never cared about any other serious issue. When historic statues were getting beheaded and thrown into the rivers, what were these truckers doing? Just sitting on their ass and munching on Doritos? But someone tells them to get one little needle and all of a sudden they need a $7 million Gofundme just so they can park in Ottawa and honk all day? Pathetic.

They are occupying Trudeaus seat of power, and he is in hiding. This is a political victory for Canadians, and its only the first day of the protest. Lets see what else happens before we pass judgment on this.

The convoys are planning to stage a protest in Washington after they are finished at Ottowa. The truckers are hoping that they will be joined with Americans protestors at the Capitol. But thats a problem for another day.

You need to take into account that the unemployment rate is higher in 2020 than it was in 2009. That shifts the numbers somewhat. Lots of boomers have been retiring, and many of the immigrants are jobless bums. Moreover, you don't even try to dispute the fact that the minimum wage was raised years ago.

Responding to the BLM and Antifa riots of 2020 was the job of the police principally, and the people secondarily: But the police sided with the protestors and stopped the people from dealing with them. It was a no win situation, and it had nothing to do with the truckers anyway. Your criticism is bizarre and dishonest. The truckers are protesting the vaccine mandates now because it affects their ability to make a living.

It doesn't matter because they have no real leverage. If the numbers are true, 90% of Truckers are vaccinated and still at work. The protestors can play sleepover in my Capital, but the rest of my country will just move on with out them.

Minimum wage did not catch up with inflation. $15 CAD today, is not worth the same as $10 CAD in 2010 (which was actually on par with the US Dollar). And even still, many jobs have also cut back on both benefits and wages. Gone were the days when working at a Car Factory could net you $30 an hour with full time benefits and a pension. Today? You're lucky to get $20/h working at the same plant.

That's not true. Kyle Rittenhouse showed the complete opposite. And I find it ironic you blame the mandates for Truckers not working, yet you do know BLM were also holding up highways and stopping cars from moving right?
