Correct me if wrong, but I don't think a far-right Woman was ever going to make it in European politics.

Macron looks like a total strongman in comparison, especially if the two ever had to do a debate but only one of them is willing to be assertive.

I can't imagine how anyone could consider Macron a "strongman" in any way.

He seems to be able to play both sides and use controversial issues to his advantage. For example, he rightfully blamed America for infiltrating French culture and trying to spark a race war.

Mind you, I'm not French so I'll admit to not knowing 100% what goes on internally, but his image appears to be one of refusing to back down or capitulate to opponents.

He's also taken flak for defending his nation's cartoon against Islam, which resulted in a lot of backlash in the middle east.

He's a very typical proponent of French liberalism. There is nothing strongman-like about him at all.

I'd agree he's a strongman in comparison to the trash like le pen and zenmour who are losing on purpose.
